Operational presence

Women’s Initiative for Sustainable Future (WSF) currently operates in South and Central Somalia with plans to expand into the East and Horn of Africa. As part of its long-term strategy, WSF aims to extend its operational scope into Kenya and Ethiopia. This expansion is envisaged to create a ripple effect of positive change across the region, empowering communities and fostering sustainable resilience against economic, environmental, and social challenges.

  • Somalia:
WSF carries out targeted humanitarian interventions and sustainable development projects in South & Central Somalia with a particular focus on Hirshabelle, Southwest, and Jubaland states of Somalia.
  • Kenya:
WSF aims to execute a dual approach in Kenya that encompasses both immediate humanitarian interventions and long-term sustainable development projects. WSF’s efforts will be geared towards providing rapid, life-saving assistance in times of crisis as well as sustainable initiatives in key sectors such as agriculture, education, and healthcare.
  • Ethiopia:
WSF aims to undertake both humanitarian interventions and long-term sustainable development projects in Ethiopia, aimed at addressing both immediate needs and fostering sustainable & resilient communities. Our aim is to launch sustainable development initiatives focused on areas like agriculture, education, and healthcare, thereby creating a cycle of positive change that is both impactful and enduring.
