Who We Are
Women’s Initiative for Sustainable Future (WSF) is a women-led national non-governmental and nonprofit organization based in Mogadishu, Somalia with plans to expand into the East and Horn of Africa. Established in 2020, WSF works with relevant stakeholders including governments, the private sector, local communities, and donor communities to identify challenges in the areas of health, food security, livelihood, climate change, protection, and human rights through inclusive dialogue and consensus building to facilitate the conception, design, and implementation of local solutions that lead to long-term sustainable solutions that address their priority needs.
Mission:
We seek a world where communities have the capacity to meaningfully engage, identify challenges, and craft solutions to overcome poverty and attain sustainable development.
Vision:
WSF’s mission is to encourage and support local communities to identify challenges that hinder meaningful growth and come up with locally viable solutions to achieve inclusive development by strengthening local capacities, building alliances, responding to emergencies, and providing economic opportunities.
